An Evening With Marc Shaiman and His Music to Premiere in San Diego

Tony-, Emmy-, and Grammy Award-winning composer and lyricist Marc Shaiman will premiere his concert An Evening With Marc Shaiman and His Music at the Rady Shell in San Diego on July 3, before bringing it to venues across the US starting in 2025.
The concert, featuring the San Diego Symphony’s 80-piece orchestra, will feature selections from Shaiman’s film, TV, and Broadway career including When Harry Met Sally, Beaches, Sister Act, Rogers: The Musical, Some Like It Hot, Hairspray, and more.
The concert will be conducted by Steven Reineke and directed by Scott Wittman. Shaiman will be joined onstage by a 100-voice choir from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts and the Coronado School of the Arts, along with vocalists Rory Donovan, Elizabeth Stanley, and Shayna Steele, and a special appearance by Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray). Following the world premiere, Shaiman will return to New York to work on the TV show-turned-stage musical Smash.
