Barbour, Burkhardt, Edelman, Lazar, et al. Set for Broadway's A Tale of Two Cities

Full casting has been announced Jill Santoriello's musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities, which will play Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre, with previews beginning August 19, and an opening set for September 18. The production will be directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle.

The cast will feature James Barbour (Sydney Carton), Craig Bennett (Jerry Cruncher), Brandi Burkhardt (Lucie Manette), Kevin Earley (Ernest Defarge), Gregg Edelman (Alexandre Manette), Michael Hayward-Jones (Jarvis Lorry), Aaron Lazar (Charles Darnay), Mackenzie Mauzy (The Seamstress), Katherine McGrath (Miss Pross), Les Minski (Marquis St. Evermonde), Natalie Toro (Therese Defarge), and Nick Wyman (John Barsad).

The Revolutionaries will be played by Drew Aber, Catherine Brunell, Alison Cimmet, Jennifer Evans, William Thomas Evans, Randy Glass, Kevin Greene, Michael Halling, Tim Hartman, Fred Inkley, Georgi James, Miles Kath, Jay Lusteck, Ray McLeod, Catherine Missal, James Moye, Walter O'Neil, Dan Petrotta, Devin Richards, Rob Richardson, Rebecca Robbins, Jennifer Smith, Anne Tolpegin, Eric Van Tielen, Mollie Vogt-Welch, and Alison Walla.

The design team will include Tony Walton (scenery), David Zinn (costumes), Richard Pilbrow (lights), Carl Casella and Domonic Sack (sound), Edward B. Kessel (orchestrations), and Kessel, Wendy Bobbitt Cavett, Kevin Stites, and Bob Krogstad (arrangements).

Carlyle's credits as choreographer include the Old Globe's production of Dancing in the Dark, the City Center Encores! productions of Juno and Stairway to Paradise, the Kennedy Center production of Mame, and the Goodspeed Opera House productions of The Pirates of Penzance and The Baker's Wife.
