Court Theatre Announces Cast, Creative Team for The Piano Lesson

Court Theatre has announced cast and creative team information for August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Piano Lesson, to run May 5-June 7, with an opening set for May 16. OJ Parson will direct.

The 1930s entry in Wilson’s monumental 20th Century play cycle, The Piano Lesson is the story of two siblings’ struggle to come to terms with their inheritance and the ghosts of their dead.

The cast will include A.C. Smith (Doaker), M. Alettie Smith (Maretha), Alfred H. Wilson (Wining Boy), Allen D. Edge (Avery), Brian Weddington (Lymon), China Gray (Maretha), Ronald L. Conner (Boy Willie), Tyla Abercrumbie (Berneice), and Alexis J. Rogers (Grace).
The creative team will include Keith Pitts (scenic design), Nick Keenan (sound design), Richard Norwood (lighting design), and Christine Pascual (costume design).
