Arena Stage has announced select cast members for its upcoming 2016 productions of Lynn Nottage’s Sweat, Anthony Giardina’s The City of Conversation, and Robert Schenkkan’s Tony Award-winning All the Way.

Sweat (January 15-February 21) will star Tony Award nominee Johanna Day (You Can’t Take It With You) as Tracey while Tony Award nominee Kimberly Scott (Joe Turner’s Come and Gone) reprises her performance of Cynthia, a role she originated during the show's debut at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The cast will also include Jack Willis, also reprising his role as Stan from the Oregon world premiere. Kate Whoriskey directs.

Stage and screen actress Margaret Colin (The Columnist, Gossip Girl) is set to star as political hostess Hester Ferris in the Washington, D.C. premiere of Anthony Giardina’s The City of Conversation (January 29-March 6, 2016). Michael Simpson, who originated the roles of Colin and Ethan Ferris in the 2014 world premiere at Lincoln Center Theater, reprises his roles in the Arena Stage production and reunites with director Doug Hughes, who also directed the New York production.

Bowman Wright (Arena Stage's King Hedley II and The Mountaintop) will take on the role of Martin Luther King Jr. in a new in-the-round staging of Robert Schenkkan’s Tony Award-winning All the Way (April 1-May 8, 2016). Wright will appear alongside Jack Willis as President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who will move to the production directly from his role in Sweat. Kyle Donnelly will direct.
