Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds Set for Orlando Debut

Play the Moment Productions in conjunction Questionable Productions will present the Orlando debut of Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds at The John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, July 31-August 9.

Directed and devised by Aradhana Tiwari and Joseph Fletcher, the production is done in radio play style, and based on the real life story of when Orson Welles and his Mercury Theater performed H.G. Welles’ War of the Worlds as a radio broadcast on Halloween, prompting mass hysteria.

The cast will include Brandon Roberts, Mike Gill, Frank McLain, Erika Wilhite, Lindsey Cohen, Chantry Banks, Joshua Weidenhamer, Alan James Gallant, Samuel Little, and Tonja Mobley Pektas.
