Jan McArt will star in two staged readings of Tony Finstrom’s new comedy thriller Murder on Gin Lane, to be presented October 24 at Lynn University’s World Performing Arts Center and November 5 at the Byron Carlyle Theatre.

The play takes place on Gin Lane, a narrow Southampton road filled with ocean-front mansions on the end of New York’s Long Island, where Broadway producer Max Greenway died last spring. The death was thought to be suicide, but his widow, the former stage star Delphine Davenport, thinks it was murder. Now, she and her French maid Fifi are spending Labor Day weekend at the Greenway country estate along with her stepsister Winnie and an old boy friend Inspector Benjamin Walker, formerly of Scotland Yard.

Wayne Rudisill will direct the reading at Lynn University, and the cast will also include Jeffrey Bruce, Iris Acker, and Beth Holland.

The reading at Byron Carlyle Theatre will be a part of the fourth annual all-night arts and culture festival Sleepless Night Miami Beach. The cast will again include Bruce, who will be joined by Shari Upbin and Blanca Goodfriend.
