Seattle Shakespeare Company Announces 2011-2012 Season logo
Seattle Shakespeare Company has announced the productions that will comprise its 2011-2012 season, with exact dates to be announced.

The season will kick off in the fall with A Midsummer Night's Dream, with Sheila Daniels directing this most popular of Shakespeare's comedies. Shakespeare's Coriolanus, a play about a triumphant soldier who discovers he is out of his depth when elected to the Roman Senate where politics can be twice as treacherous as warfare, is set to be the second production of the season.

George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion will begin the second half of the season with barbed comedy and the unlikely relationship between the Cockney flower seller Eliza Doolittle and her stuffy phonetics professor Henry Higgins. To close their season, Seattle Shakespeare Company will present As You Like It, directed by Interim Artistic Director George Mount, who will conjure up a romantic staging of this enchanting comedy.
