Rehearsals are well underway for the New Group's world-premiere production of Amy Heckerling's Clueless, the Musical, set to begin performances November 20 at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Opening night is December 11 for the production, set to run through January 12.

Kristin Hanggi directs the production. which stars Dove Cameron as Cher. Also featured in the cast are Ephie Aardema (Tai), Sara Andreas (Heather), Gilbert L. Bailey II (Murray), Dave Thomas Brown (Josh), Will Connolly (Travis), Tiffany Engen (Swing), Katie Goffman (Swing), Danielle Marie Gonzalez (Lucy), Tessa Grady (Amber), Talya Groves (Summer), Chris Hoch (Mel, Mr. Hall, DMV Instructor), L'ogan J'ones (Max), Jeff Kuhr (Swing), Darius Jordan Lee (Sean), Justin Mortelliti (Christian), Megan Sikora (Miss Geist, Ms. Stoeger), Brett Thiele (Elton), and Zurin Villanueva (Dionne).

The production features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Amy Clark, lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design by Gareth Owen, and projection design by Darrel Maloney. Music supervision, arrangement, and orchestration is by Ethan Popp. Music direction is by Matthew Smedal. The production stage manager is Mary MacLeod.

Clueless is a modern spin on Jane Austen's Emma, and will feature a score that "reimagines '90s hits into ingenious parodies and yearning monologues for her lovesick characters." Joining Hanggi on the creative team are Kelly Devine (choreography), Beowulf Boritt (scenic design), Amy Clark (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Gareth Owen (sound design), Darrel Maloney (projection design), Ethan Popp (musical supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations), and Matthew Smedal (musical direction).
