Soho Rep. and Ars Nova have extended the New York premiere of Futurity again. The production will now run through November 22 at the Connelly Theater.

Futurity is a new musical by César Alvarez and the Lisps, directed by Soho Rep. artistic director Sarah Benson. The 13-member cast of actor-musicians includes Alvarez, Andrew R. Butler, Fred Epstein, Eric Farber, Eamon Goodman, Karen Kandel, Kristine Haruna Lee, Mia Pixley, Jessie Shelton, Kamala Sankaram, Darius Smith, Storm Thomas, and Sammy Tunis.

The show centers on two people who try to imagine their way out of impossible circumstances. Julian is a Civil War soldier dreaming of a technological utopia. Ada is a mathematical genius thousands of miles away. Together, they're going to invent a machine to end one of the darkest periods in our history.
