Full House Musical Starring Perez Hilton Extends Run
The new show is a parody of the popular '90s TV series.
Full House! The Musical!, the new theatrical parody of the popular '90s TV series Full House, has announced that it has extended. The show, which is currently playing at Theatre 80 on St. Mark's Place, will now run through December 19. The musical features book, score, and direction by Bob and Tobly McSmith, the team behind Saved by the Bell parody Bayside! The Musical! and Showgirls! The Musical!
Full House! The Musical! follows the Tanner family patriarch, Danny, who loses his super power of solving any problem with his sensible "Dad Speeches." But Danny's descends into madness as he slowly turns from wholesome Danny Tanner to foulmouthed and dark Bob Saget.
Leading the company as Danny Tanner is celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, along with Seth Blum (Joey Gladstone), John Duff (Jesse Katsopolis), Amanda Nicholas (D.J. Tanner), Marguerite Halcovage (Stephanie Tanner), Marshall Louise (the Olsen Twins), and Bridget Russell Kennedy (Rebecca Donaldson).
The show features choreography by Jason Wise, scenic design by Bryan Harlett, costume design by Shamira Clark, lighting design by Adam Lash, and sound design by Lauren Vargas.
The Full House television series starred Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier as Danny, Jesse, and Joe, with Candace Cameron as D.J., Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sharing the role of Michelle. Additional cast members included Lori Loughlin as Aunt Becky, Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler, Scott Weinger as Steve, and Dylan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit as Nicky and Alex.
