Food for Thought has announced preliminary casting for its Fall 2009 season of lunch time performances at the Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South).
Zoe Caldwell and Larry Pine will star in A.R. Gurney’s The Love Course, directed by Antony Marsellis, with Joe Sirola performing excerpts from Shakespeare (September 23 and December 3). Marian Seldes will play Lady Bracknell in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest and also appear with Joan Copeland in The Designers (September 30 and November 9).
Fall programming will also include Shadows of the Evening by Noel Coward and Silence by Harold Pinter (October 5 and November 19); The Wreck on the Five-Twenty-Five by Thornton Wilder and Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations: The Play by Mark O’Donnell (October 15 and December 2); The Dearest of Friends by Horton Foote, Hello From Bertha by Tennessee Williams, and Summer in Sweat by Mark O’Donnell (October 21 and November 23); Trying to Find Chinatown by David Henry Hwang and Spring Dance by Horton Foote (October 26); Crawling Arnold by Jules Feiffer (November 4); and The Performance by Arthur Miller (November 11).
There will also be a star-studded celebration at Sardis on September 21, with a guest list that includes Seldes, Frances Sternhagen, Lucie Arnaz and Lawrence Luckinbill, Rex Reed, John Shea, Richard Easton, Joan Copeland, Pete Gurney, Roger Rees, Tony Roberts, Penny Fuller, Kathleen Chalfant, and Tammy Grimes.
