Theatricum Botanicum has announced casting for its production of George Bernard Shaw’s Heartbreak House, to run in repertory June 9-September 10. Ellen Geer will direct.
The cast will include Susan Angelo, Alan Blumenfeld, Willow Geer, Ed Giron, Aaron Hendry, William Dennis Hunt, Mark Lewis, Katherine James, Melora Marshall, and David Stifel.
Billed as a “Fantasia in the Russian Manner on English Themes” the play involves Young Ellie Dunn (Geer), who is invited to the country home of the eccentric Captain Shotover (Hunt) by his daughter Hesione (Marshall). Soon the entire family is divided over Ellie’s decision to marry her father’s business partner for money rather than love.
