Widow's Bay Emmy Winner Kate O'Flynn Sets Stage Return in New Caryl Churchill Play

Widow’s Bay Emmy winner Kate O’Flynn will star with Tony nominee Matthew Beard in Triumph, the latest play by Caryl Churchill.

Triumph, drawing on Suetonius’s The Twelve Caesars, is a 15-minute political work about a press secretary who is falling for a reporter. It is directed by James Macdonald, Churchill’s frequent collaborator, and will run October 16-23 at the Almeida Theatre in London.

Churchill’s plays include Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, Cloud 9, and Top Girls, among others.

O’Flynn’s credits include Anatomy of a Suicide (Royal Court), Pinter One (West End), and The Glass Menagerie (West End/Edinburgh International Festival). She will next be seen in the Mike Leigh film Tender Loving Care. Beard has been seen in Long Day’s Journey Into Night (West End) and Skylight (West End/ Broadway), among other productions.
