According to the Chicago Sun-Times, television and Broadway veteran Wayne Brady will be joining the cast of Hamilton at Chicago's PrivateBank Theatre for a limited run as Aaron Burr. Reports say he will perform with the company from January 17-April 9, taking over for two-time Tony nominee Joshua Henry.

Brady is best known for his longtime role on the ABC improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? and as host of CBS' daytime game show Let's Make a Deal. He made his Broadway debut in 2004 as Billy Flynn in Chicago and returned in 2015 to take on the role of Lola in the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots. His stage credits also include Kiss Me, Kate at the Pasadena Playhouse and a turn last month in Michael Arden's revival of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Directed by Thomas Kail and inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton explores the life of the American founding father and first Secretary of the Treasury, as well as his experiences as an orphan of the British West Indies who immigrated to the 13 Colonies and helped shape the United States of America. Winner of 11 Tony Awards, the show features a book and score by Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, with music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.

The Chicago cast of Hamilton is headed by Miguel Cervantes in the title role, with Tony nominee Alexander Gemignani (King George III), Tony winner Karen Olivo (Angelica Schuyler), Ari Afsar (Eliza Hamilton), Chris Lee (Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Joseph Morales (Alexander Hamilton alternate), Jose Ramos (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), Wallace Smith (Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), and Samantha Marie Ware (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds).
