Watch Michael Urie's Actors' Nightmare of a Drama Desk Awards Opening Video

It ain’t over until Mary Testa sings “June Is Bustin’ Out All Over” as Roy Cohn from ”Angels in America”. Actually, that’s where it starts.

The 63rd annual Drama Desk Awards were held this past Sunday, June 3, at Town Hall. As the stars of New York's theater community gathered to celebrate another successful year onstage, host Michael Urie was nowhere to be found. As it turns out, he fell asleep in his dressing room, where he had a frightening dream in which he missed his entrance in The Iceman Cometh, had to decipher Pygmalion using a script written entirely in emojis, and found himself shut out of starring in the new Broadway revival of The Boys in the Band. What it all comes down to is a hilarious preshow entrance video, which you can watch here exclusively.
