Warren Carlyle and More From Kiss Me, Kate to Participate in Backstage Broadway

Tony nominee Alexander Gemignani will host this first event in the Sheen Center’s new series; a second devoted to ”Be More Chill” will follow.

The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture will launch its new series Backstage Broadway on April 1 with a special event featuring company members from Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Kiss Me, Kate.

Hosted by Tony-nominated actor, music director, composer, and lyricist Alexander Gemignani (Carousel), the series will offer audiences an inside look into some of Broadway's biggest hits. The Kiss Me, Kate event will feature Tony-winning choreographer Warren Carlyle, Tony-winning musical director Paul Gemignani, and dance arranger David Chase. Company members Preston Truman Boyd, Marissa McGowan, and Christine Cornish Smith will also perform musical numbers from the show.

The next event in the Backstage Broadway series on April 15 will focus on Be More Chill and feature composer and lyricist Joe Iconis and cast members Will Roland, George Salazar, Stephanie Hsu, and Jason Tam.
