Van Davis, a Rock-Funk Band With Ties to Broadway's The Book of Mormon, Will Release New CD

Van Davis, a New York City-based rock-funk band featuring members from Broadway's The Book of Mormon and off-Broadway's Fela!, will celebrate the release of its album Come With Me on Thursday, June 19, with a launch event at INC Lounge. Doors open at 8pm for three 45-minute sets throughout the evening.

The band has been performing throughout New York City for a decade. Its members include Broadway veterans Abena Koomson (Fela!), Patrick Carmichael (The Lion King), Jake Ezra Schwartz (guitarist for The Book of Mormon), and Jon Price. Together, they've released two other albums, Van Davis and Have You Seen This Band?
