Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams will appear at the Café Carlyle, March 30 – April 17. Michael Bush has conceived and directed by the piece, entitled Uptown/Downtown, which has musical direction by Don Rebic.
In the show, Uggams will offer an songs from her legendary career and the Great American Songbook, including “My Own Morning,” “Summertime,” “If He Walked Into My Life” and “Stormy Weather,” among others.
Uggams won the Tony Award for her performance in Hallelujah, Baby! and has also been seen on Broadway in Anything Goes, Blues in the Night, and the recent revival of On Golden Pond. She is also an Emmy-winning actress and popular recording artist.
