| New York City |

January 18, 2006

The 2pm matinee and 8pm evening performances of the current Broadway production of Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple have been canceled today — Wednesday, January 18 — because Nathan Lane, one of the show’s stars, is suffering from laryngitis.

The show is playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street.) It stars Lane as Oscar Madison and Matthew Broderick as Felix Ungar. Also featured in the cast are Mike Starr, Lee Wilkof, Rob Bartlett, Peter Frechette, Oliva D’Abo, and Jessica Stone. Ticketholders for today’s canceled shows may exchange their tickets for a future performance or receive a refund at the box office or at point of purchase.

In related news, it has just been announced that the production’s limited run has been extended through June 4, 2006, with the entire cast set to remain in the show through that date.
