The Vineyard Theatre’s hit musical [title of show] will temporarily close on April 30, but will return to the theater on July 14 for an eight-week commerical run to be produced by Kevin McCollum, Laura Camien, and the Vineyard.

The break will occur in part so that the Vineyard can present the last show of its subscription season, Mary Pat Gleason’s solo play Stopping Traffic, May 24-June 25.

In related news, [title of show] will be recorded next month by Ghostlight Records. No release date has yet been set. (It was announced yesterday that Ghostlight, a division of Sh-K-Boom, will receive a special 2006 Drama Desk Award for its accomplishments.)

Written by and co-starring Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell, [title of show] tells of its creators’ attempt to write a musical for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. The production also stars Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff; it is directed by Michael Berresse, who has received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his work.
