The production includes two Edith Wharton one-acts, ”Roman Fever” and ”The Fullness of Life”.
The Wharton Comedies begins performances tonight at Shakespeare & Company.
Normi Noel directs Dennis Krausnick's adaptations of Edith Wharton's Roman Fever and The Fullness of Life. In Roman Fever, Grace and Alida reminisce about the Colosseum, having known each other so well for their entire lives, or so they think. The Fullness of Life unveils that the afterlife, while enchanting, may not be all that it's cracked up to be.
The cast features David Joseph, Corinna May, and Diane Prusha. They are supported by the creative team of Stephen Ball (lighting designer), Patrick Brennan (set designer), Kiki Smith (costume designer), Amy Altadonna (sound designer), and Fran Rubenstein (stage manager).
Performances continue through September 10.
