The Q Brothers will collaborate with Chicago Shakespeare Theater creative producer Rick Boynton on Othello: The Remix. The show will be presented as part of the previously announced Globe to Globe festival in London, with performances on May 5 at 2:30pm and on May 6 at 1:30pm and 6:30pm.
The project will reinterpret Shakespeare’s tragedy through a hip hop lens. The Q Brothers’ previous reimaginings of Shakespeare — Bombitty of Errors and Funk It Up About Nothin’, which was developed with Boynton — have toured internationally.
