Theatre for a New Audience has postponed the opening date of its production of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, which is currently in previews at the Duke at 42nd Street. The show, which had also delayed the start of its previews, has moved its opening from March 26 to the Sunday matinee on March 29. The closing night of April 12 remains the same.
As previously announced, David Esbjornson directs a cast led by Christian Camargo in the title role, with Casey Biggs (Claudius), Alyssa Bresnahan (Gertrude), Alvin Epstein (Polonius), Graham Hamilton (Laertes), Jennifer Ikeda (Ophelia), Scott Drummond (Bernardo), Jonathan Fried (The Ghost), Sean Haberle (Marcellus), Tom Hammond (Horatio), John Christopher Jones (Gravedigger), Craig Pattison (Rosencrantz), Ryan Quinn (The Player Queen and Osiric), Robert Stattel (The Player King), and Richard Topol (Guildenstern).
The creative team features Antje Ellermann (sets), Beth Clancy (costumes), Marcus Doshi (lighting), Sven Ortel (projections), and Jane Shaw (sound and music).
