Taylor Richardson and Sadie Sink will take over the title role in the Broadway revival of Annie at the Palace Theatre beginning Tuesday, July 30. Lilla Crawford, who originated the role in the current production, will play her final performance Sunday, July 28.

“As we were preparing to cast the next Annie, I realized we had two wonderful candidates already in the orphanage. Both Taylor and Sadie are such unique young actresses that I decided to let them share the role,” said director James Lapine in a statement. The young actresses will play the role of Duffy when they’re not performing as Annie. A schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

Additionally, current cast members Georgi James (Pepper), Madi Rae DiPietro (July), Junah Jang (Tessie), and Jaidyn Young (standby for Annie, Pepper, Duffy, and July) will also play their final performances on July 28. Gaby Bradbury (Pepper), Amaya Braganza (July), and Skye Alyssa Friedman (standby for Duffy, Pepper, July, and Tessie) will join the company on July 30. Tyrah Skye Odoms, currently playing the role of Kate, and Brooklyn Shuck, currently a standby, will take over the roles of Tessie and Kate on that date, as well.

The producers have also announced that Anthony Warlow has extended his contract through December 8. He is joined by a principal company that includes Jane Lynch (Miss Hannigan through July 14), Brynn O’Malley (Grace Farrell), Clarke Thorell (Rooster), and J. Elaine Marcos (Lily St. Regis). Tony Award winner Faith Prince will take over the role of Miss Hannigan on July 19.
