Lavishly reimagined by James Lapine, Annie is the classic musical about a little orphan girl who melts the hearts of everyone around her with her irrepressible optimism. From an orphanage run by the man-hungry lush Miss Hannigan (Faith Prince) at the height of the great depression, Annie (Taylor Richardson and Sadie Sink) is taken in by Billionaire Oliver Warbucks (Anthony Warlow). While he is at first irritable and unwelcoming, even Warbucks can’t resist Annie’s charms and he eventually begins a quest to find Annie’s real parents.
The unforgettable score by Charles Strousse and Martin Charnin features songs like, “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” and of course, “Tomorrow.” Featuring both live animals and children on stage, this is the musical that breaks all the showbiz rules and leaves you whistling all the way home.
