The ”Bring It On” star returns to the Great White Way.
Broadway's Kinky Boots welcomes Taylor Louderman (Bring It On) to the cast in the role of Lauren beginning today. Louderman, who succeeds Haven Burton in the role, joins a cast that includes Todrick Hall as Lola and Olivier Award nominee Killian Donnelly as Charlie Price.
In addition to originating the role of Campbell Davis in the Broadway production and national tour of Bring It On: The Musical!, Louderman starred opposite Christopher Walken and Allison Williams on NBC's Peter Pan Live as Wendy Darling.
Inspired by the 2005 British film of the same title, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The musical tells the story of Charlie Price, the owner of a failing shoe factory who realizes that a sassy drag queen named Lola has the key to the business' success.
With direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the show took home six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, and Best Sound Design. The production runs at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
