BAM’s winter/spring 2027 season will include programs across dance, theater, opera, music, poetry, and more.

The season includes the world premiere of Tony winner Julie Taymor and Academy Award-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal’s The Grand Delusion (May 11—June 6), an erotic new musical and modern-day fairy tale that spans New York City, India, and a mythical plane.

The season also includes the return of Pina Bausch’s Vollmond (Full Moon) (March 4—17), performed by Tanztheater Wuppertal; the 10th anniversary run of Gregory Spears’s opera Fellow Travelers (April 23—25); and Catapult Opera’s workshop presentation of David Hertzberg’s Innocent Eyes (January 24).

In May, BAM celebrates its longest-running program with DanceAfrica 50. Founded at BAM in 1977 by dancer and choreographer Charles Rudolph Davis, known as Baba Chuck, DanceAfrica began with the mission to celebrate, honor, and amplify the richness of African arts and culture.
