The previously reported stage musical adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s film Strictly Ballroom will receive its world premiere and first run in Sydney, Australia at the Lyric Theatre beginning September 2013.
The work, which is based on Luhrmann’s play and screenplay, focuses on the unlikely partnership of an unorthodox champion caliber ballroom dancer, and a beginning dancer, who try to win the Australian Pan Pacific Championships.
