Regina Taylor’s play begins performances tonight.
Stop. reset. starts its run at the Goodman Theatre tonight. Alex Ames finds himself at the end of an era. With the advent of e-books and digital technologies, he is forced to consider shutting down his long-standing African-American book publishing company. However, as his employees begin to worry over their jobs, Alex meets a mysterious teenager who may provide the key to sustaining his legacy. With inventive and progressive ideas, this individual provides the inspiration that could bring about the solution to Alex's problem.
Written and directed by Regina Taylor, who was recently interviewed by TheaterMania, the show features Tim Decker as Tim, Eugene Lee as Ames, Eric Lynch as Chris, Edgar Sanchez as J, Lisa Tejero as Deb, and Jacqueline Williams as Jan.
The creative team includes Keith Parham (lighting design), Riccardo Hernández (set design), Karen Perry (costume design), Richard Woodbury (sound design), Shawn Sagady (projection design), Daniel Bernard Roumain (composer), and Donald Claxon (stage manager).
Performances will run through June 21.
