Stark Sands and Billy Porter Set to Return to Kinky Boots

Producers of Broadway's Kinky Boots have announced that Stark Sands and Billy Porter will reprise the roles they originated when they return to the cast on September 26. Sands and Porter will remain with the show through January 7, 2018.

Original cast member Andy Kelso, who succeeded Sands as Charlie Price in 2014, returns to the role on August 8 for a limited seven-week engagement. DeLaney Westfall will join the company as Lauren starting August 22.

Based on the 2005 film, Kinky Boots follows Charlie, who tries to save his recently deceased father's shoe factory from bankruptcy by manufacturing shoes for drag queens. The musical features a score by Grammy Award-winning pop star Cyndi Lauper and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Jerry Mitchell directs and choreographs.
