Erasmus Fenn’s new comedy is directed by Joe Brancato.
Stage legend Everett Quinton will star in Drop Dead Perfect, a new comedy written by Erasmus Fenn and directed by Joe Brancato. Presented by the Peccadillo Theater Company, the Penguin Rep production will begin performances July 15 at the Theatre at St. Clement's, with opening night set for July 20.
Quinton, a longtime member of Charles Ludlam's Ridiculous Theatrical Company and original star of The Mystery of Irma Vep, will play Idris Seabright, an eccentric mistress of a Key West cottage, whose life begins a downward spiral when her ward decides to pursue art in Greenwich Village and her lawyer starts taking an interest in her investments.
The company also includes Jason Cruz, Jason Edward Cook, and Michael Keyloun. Featured on the creative team are James J. Fenton (scenic design), Charlotte Palmer-Lane (costume design), Ed McCarthy (lighting design), and William Neal (sound design).
Drop Dead Perfect will end its limited run on August 10.
