Casting has been announced for Corrie!, the stage show version of the U.K. soap opera Coronation Street, which will run August 12-August 25 at The Lowry, Salford, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com.
As previously reported, Jonathan Harvey, who currently writes for the television show, has penned the stage adaptation, which will condense storylines from the last 50 years of the series.
The company will feature Charles Lawson, Simon Chadwick, Katherine Dow Blyton, and Matthew Wait, all veterans of the program, along with Leanne Best and Josie Walker.
Coronation Street was first broadcast in 1960, and is set in the fictional town of Weatherfield and focuses on the lives of its everyday characters.
