Signature Theatre Company will present the first major New York revival of Angels in America, as part of the company’s 2010-2011 Tony Kushner season. Michael Greif will direct the epic, with the play’s two parts — Millennium Approaches and Perestroika — to run in repertory.
Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize winning drama is set in America in the 1980s against a backdrop of greed, conservatism, sexual politics, and the discovery of AIDS. No casting has been announced. Signature’s Kushner season will also include two more works to be announced.
