The off-Broadway production of Shear Madness will end its run at the Davenport Theatre on April 23, producers have announced. It will have played 602 performances and 23 previews since kicking off its run in 2015 at New World Stages.

Set in a local hair salon that turns into a wacky murder scene, Shear Madness is a whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime. The play first opened in Boston (where it still runs) in 1978 and has since been seen in major cities across the United States including Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Bruce Jordan directs a cast that features Jordan Ahnquist, Gil Brady, Lisa McMillan, Kate Middleton, Patrick Noonan, and Jonathan Randell Silver. It is written by Paul Portner.
