Shashi Balooja, Maria Torres to Co-Direct In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel

Media At Large Productions is to present Tennessee Williams’ In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel, October 13-28 at New World Stages. Shashi Balooja and Maria Torres will co-direct the production.

In the play, an alcoholic painter and his promiscuous wife are two Americans trapped in a very troubled marriage and in a Tokyo hotel. The production will incorporate live streaming video and dance.

The design team will include Xiao Wang (set and projection design), Vanessa Leuck (costume design), Kevin Feustel (sound design), and Zephan Ellenbogen (lighting design).

Casting will be announced at a later date.
