Matthew Morrison Will Return to Just in Time on Broadway

Matthew Morrison will return to Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre to play Bobby Darin in Just in Time, starting October 20, for a limited 3-week run. Morrison previously played Darin in April following the departure of original star Jonathan Groff.

A fantasy nightclub act that allows Bobby Darin to tell his own story (and those around him to occasionally step in and correct the record), Just in Time features the songs he made famous, like “Dream Lover,” “Mack the Knife,” and “Splish Splash.” It features a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver. The musical was developed by Alex Timbers, who directed the production.

Jeremy Jordan, who took over the role of Darin earlier this year, will play his final performance October 18, as will Carrie St. Louis, who plays Sandra Dee. You can read TheaterMania’s review of Just in Time, starring Jordan and St. Louis, here.

As previously reported, Whitney Leavitt will join the company as Sandra Dee beginning Tuesday, December 1, 2026. No casting announcement has been made about the role of Sandra Dee between St. Louis’s departure and Leavitt’s arrival.
