Tina Benko, Rebecca Naomi Jones to Star in Daniel Fish's ElektraThe in Brooklyn

Theatre for a New Audience presents Anne Carson’s adaptation of Sophocles this November.

Tina Benko will star in Daniel Fish’s Theatre for a New Audience production of Elektra by Sophocles, adapted by Anne Carson. Performances run November 10-December 6 at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center.

Benko will play the title role, alongside Rebecca Naomi Jones as Chrysothemis, Cricket Brown as Orestes, Sally Wingert as Clytemnestra, Michael Rudko as Aegisthus, and an a cappella chorus that includes Catherine Brookman, Sophia Rose Byrd, Mingjia Chen, Tina Fabrique, Maya Lagerstam, and Tanner Porter.

Fish’s creative team includes Jim Findlay, Amy Rubin, and Josh Higgason (scenic designer), Doey Lüthi (costume designer), Scott Zielinski (lighting designer), Christopher Botta (sound designer), Ted Hearne (composer), Wally Cardona (choreographer), and Jeremy Chernick (cpecial Effects). Ryan Gohsman is the Production Stage Manager.

Fish first staged the play in London’s West End in 2025, in a substantially different production that starred Brie Larson, Stockard Channing, and Patrick Vaill.
