Rising Phoenix Repertory has announced the final two plays set for its Cino Nights series of world premieres. Both productions will take place at Jimmy’s No. 43.
Cusi Cram’s Radiance will play one performance on June 10 at 7pm. Directed by Suzanne Agins, the play takes place in 1955 at a dive bar around the corner from the El Capital Theater where a man and a woman have the kind of secrets that glow brighter with time and whiskey. The cast will feature J. Eric Cook, Peter Hirsch, Ana Reeder, and Kohl Sudduth.
Then, Rising Phoenex Rep will present one performance of Daniel Talbott’s Break My Face on Your Hand on June 17 at 7 pm. The play follows high schoolers Bear and Trev, whose live have been slammed into one another by violence and who now have to sit together in the afternoons at Bear’s grandmother’s kitchen table. The play is directed by Portia Krieger and will feature Noah Galvin and Seth Numrich.
