The Rockettes opened the show with a performance of "New York, New York." The Rockettes' history with Chita Rivera dates back more than 30 years when the company performed alongside Rivera in the 1988 tour of Can-Can.
Carrying the name of one of the great dance icons of the American musical theater, the Chita Rivera Awards celebrate dance and choreographic excellence past, present, and future.
