Scott Bakula will join the cast of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He will play an attorney hired by Bree, the character played by Marcia Cross.
Bakula most recently appeared on stage in Terrible Advice at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London. In addition, he received a Tony Award nomination for Romance/Romance. Among his other theater credits are Marilyn an American Fable on Broadway, as well as Shenandoah, The Quality of Life, and Guys and Dolls.
He received four Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award for his starring role in the TV series Quantum Leap, and has also been seen in such series as Star Trek: Enterprise and Men of a Certain Age.
