Sanjaya Malakar’s new single “Tempted” will be available for digital download from the performer’s website and iTunes on May 24. The song, a selection from his upcoming full length album Life ~ Love ~ Music, will be available for purchase via Amazon.com and other online retailers beginning June 1.
“Tempted” is an R&B cover of the 1981 original pop song performed by Squeeze. The track is just one of several that Malakar will be releasing this summer along with live tour dates as he headlines The State of Independence Tour, which launches July 3 in Tacoma, Washington.
Malakar is perhaps best known for his appearances on American Idol. Most recently, he was seen Off-Broadway in the musical adaptation of Julianne Moore’s Freckleface Strawberry.
