Sanaa Lathan and Anthony Mackie will host the the 43rd NAACP Image Awards ceremony to be held on February 17 at the Shrine Auditorium and broadcast on NBC.
Lathan received a Tony Award nomination for A Raisin in the Sun and recently starred Off-Broadway in Second Stage’s production of By the Way, Meet Vera Stark. Mackie’s Broadway credits include A Behanding in Spokane and Drowning Crow. As previously announced, the two will be co-starring in Philippe Caland’s new film Vipaka.
As previously reported, nominees for this year’s NAACP Awards include Mackie, along with Don Cheadle, Viola Davis, Bryce Dallas-Howard, Laurence Fishburne, Octavia Spencer, Cicely Tyson, and Jeffrey Wright.
