Sam Anderson to Star in Road Theatre Company’s The Bird and Mr. Banks

Lost star Sam Anderson will star in the West Coast premiere of Keith Huff’s The Bird and Mr. Banks, to be presented by The Road Theatre Company, January 16-March 21. Mark St. Amant will direct.

The play explores the world of Seymour Banks, an accountant who ends up wanted by police in three states and the FBI — all because of a girl, a dark deed, and a baby bird called Peep.

The cast will also include Jeni Kern and Chet Grissom. The production will feature set design by Desma Murphy, lighting by Derrick McDaniel, sound by David B. Marling, costuming by Ann Closs-Farley, and music design by Christopher Moscatiello.

Anderson, who will play Mr. Banks, is also the company’s co-artistic director. He is best known for his role as “Bernard Nadler” on ABC’s Lost, and additional film and television credits include Forrest Gump, Angel, La Bamba, Friends, and Everybody Loves Raymond. He received a SAG Award as part of the ensemble of E.R. He received an Ovation Award for his leading role in the Road’s Napoli Millionaria, and additional theater credits include Road to Nirvana, Taking Sides, Rhinoceros, and Edmond.
