Roslyn Hart will once again perform as Michelle Hoffman (better known as “Shells”), the famed JPMorgan Chase analyst-cum-cabaret sensation, at Show at Barre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 22 at 8pm. The act is co-created by Hart with writer/director Nick Chase, and features musical direction by Emily Otto.
Fresh out of a less-than-fulfilling relationship, Shells is eager to shed her 9-to-5 facade and prove she has what it takes to become an international music sensation. Performing a selection of songs spanning the pop catalog, this Carrie Bradshaw-wannabe challenges the audience with her audacious, bold style. When matters of her personal life are brought up, the show takes an unexpected turn.
Chase and Hart’s episodic theatrical series, Shells, has played to sold-out audiences at Joe’s Pub and other NYC venues. The duo’s other work includes a SOLD OUT residency at Mo Pitkin’s with their vaudeville performance, Bros Before Hos. They have also performed at Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Fez, The Iridium, Galapagos, and StandUp NY.
