Richard Todd Adams Takes Over Title Role in Phantom Tour

Richard Todd Adams will take over the title role in the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s international award-winning musical The Phantom of the Opera on June 11. The show is currently playing at Community Center Theatre in Sacramento through June 14. He succeeds Jason Mills in the production, which is directed by Harold Prince.

Also featured in the cast are Marni Raab as Christine, Greg Mills as Raoul, Kim Stengel as Carlotta Giudicelli, D.C. Anderson as Monsieur André, Bruce Winant as Monsieur Firmin, Nancy Hess as Madame Giry, John Whitney as Ubaldo Piangi and Jessi Ehrlich as Meg. At certain performances, Kelly Jeanne Grant plays the role of Christine.

Adams previously played Raoul in the national tour of The Phantom of the Opera nearly ten years ago. His Broadway credits include The Woman in White and The Pirate Queen. Additional credits include Little Fish, Listen to my Heart, Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill, Les Misérables, Jekyll and Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Ragtime, 1776, and Showboat.

Upcoming tour stops will include Tulsa, OK (June 18-July 13), San Diego, CA (July 16-August 10), Portland, OR (August 13-September 7), Seattle, WA (September 10-October 4), Spokane, WA (October 8-25), Tampa, FL (October 30-November 22), and
San Francisco, CA (Beginning November 26).
