Richard Easton, Lee Pace, Eddie Kaye Thomas Join MTC’s Golden Age

Emmy nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Lee Pace will head the cast of Terrence McNally‘s Golden Age, to be presented Off-Broadway by Manhattan Theatre Club at New York City Center – Stage I, beginning Tuesday, November 13 with an opening set for Tuesday, December 4. Walter Bobbie will direct.

In the play, its opening night of Vincenzo Bellini’s (Pace) new opera I Puritani, and the Italian composer is determined to win the adulation of not only his audience, but his colleagues and rivals as well.

The full cast will also include the previously reported Bebe Neuwirth and Lorenzo Pisoni, as well as Richard Easton, Dierdre Friel, Coco Monroe, Ethan Phillips, Will Rogers, and Eddie Kaye Thomas.

The creative team will include Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Ryan Rumery (sound design), and Tom Watson (hair & wig design).

Pace was part of the Drama Desk-winning ensemble of The Normal Heart. He received an Emmy nomination for his work on Pushing Daisies, and will be seen in the upcoming film Lincoln.
