The American Repertory Theater production comes to Roundabout this spring.

John Turturro, Tatiana Maslany, and Tony Shalhoub will star in on Broadway Diane Paulus’s new production of Eugene Ionesco’s Rhinoceros, which ran this summer at American Repertory Theater.
Turturro will play Bérenger, the only person in his town who resists transforming into a rhinoceros. Maslany is Daisy and Shalhoub is Jean, replacing Paul Giamatti, who starred in the A.R.T. mounting. Full casting will be announced at a later date.
Rhinoceros will run at Roundabout’s Todd Haimes Theatre, April 7-June 13. It replaces The Full Monty on the nonprofit’s season roster, which is being postponed “due to casting availability.”
Translated by Derek Prouse, Rhinoceros has sets by by Riccardo Hernández, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Jen Schriever, sound design by Fitz Patton, special effects design by Markus Maurette, hair & wig design by Tom Watson, make-up design by Kyle Krueger, fight direction by Thomas Schall, and movement by Jill Johnson
