Rachel Bay Jones to Star in Next to Normal at the Kennedy Center

The ”Dear Evan Hansen” Tony winner will take on the leading role.

Tony winner Rachel Bay Jones will star in the Kennedy Center's upcoming concert staging of Next to Normal, part of the 2019-2020 season.

Next to Normal will run January 29-February 2, 2020, as part of the Broadway Center Stage series. The series will also include Footloose (October 9-13, 2019) and Bye Bye Birdie (April 22-26, 2020).

National tours stopping at the Kennedy Center include Cats (September 17-October 6, 2019); Come From Away (December 10-January 5); My Fair Lady (December 17-January 19); Jesus Christ Superstar (April 14-26, 2020); Hamilton (June 16-September 20, 2020); Once On This Island (June 23-July 12, 2020).

The first national tour of Aaron Sorkin's new play To Kill a Mockingbird, based on Harper Lee's novel, will launch its upcoming national tour in August 2020 at the Kennedy Center. Additional information about the tour, including casting and additional cities, will be announced shortly.

The Kennedy Center will also present Nia Vardalos's Tiny Beautiful Things (June 2-28), as well as the exclusive American engagement of the play A Monster Calls (July 21-August 9, 2020).
