Pretty Woman: The Musical Announces First International Production

Germany will be the first country to see the Bryan Adams-Jim Vallance musical outside of the US.

Producer Paula Wagner has announced the first international production of Pretty Woman: The Musical. It will begin a run at the Stage Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg, Germany, on Monday, September 23, 2019, with opening night set for Sunday, September 29. The musical is currently running at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway.

Based on the popular 1990 movie starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman features a book by original screenwriter J.F. Lawton and film director Garry Marshall, a score by Jim Vallance and Bryan Adams, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell.

The Broadway company of Pretty Woman is headed by Andy Karl as Edward, Samantha Barks as Vivian, as well as Orfeh as Kit, Jason Danieley as Philip Stuckey, Eric Anderson as Mr. Thompson, and Kingsley Leggs as James Morse. Allison Blackwell, Tommy Bracco, Brian Calì, Robby Clater, Jessica Crouch, Nico DeJesus, Anna Eilinsfeld, Matt Farcher, Lauren Lim Jackson, Renée Marino, Ellyn Marie Marsh, Jillian Mueller, Jake Odmark, Jennifer Sanchez, Matthew Stocke, Alex Michael Stoll, Alan Wiggins, Jesse Wildman Foster, and Darius Wright make up the ensemble.
