Penny Fuller, Rachael Harris, Diane Neal, Sherri Shepherd, and Cobie Smulders celebrated their opening night in Nora and Delia Ephron’s Off-Broadway hit, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, on May 27 at an after party at 44 ½. They will perform in the Drama Desk-winning show through June 27.
Based on Ilene Beckerman’s 1995 book about clothes and the memories they trigger, the production is directed by Karen Carpenter, and features a series of five-person casts that will play in four-week cycles.
A portion of the production’s proceeds will benefit Dress for Success, a charity that provides work clothing and job support for low-income women. Audience members are invited to donate their gently-used purses and other accessories in the theater’s lobby.
